Very Small Very Bright 6-Volt Compatible

If you have a vehicle with a 6-volt electrical system it's probably quite valuable.  However the brightness of your 6-volt tail lights may not be sufficient given today's modern traffic situations placing your vehicle at greater risk of incurring a rear-end collision.

The advent of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) seemed promising as a way to get brighter taillights for older vehicles, but you may have found the performance of common commercial LED twist-in replacement bulbs to be disappointing at best.

 Many LED twist-in bulbs are imported from China, and most manufacturers focus on the 12-volt automotive market.  A small few manufacturers offer 6-volt LED bulbs.

The cost of the automotive light bulb that a generic LED twist-in bulb is going to replace is very often used as a LED product's target "price point."  Considering the relatively low cost of automotive light bulbs, the use of budget LEDs and minimal components in most LED products typically offer little to no benefit over the incandescent light bulb they are replacing.

Because your vehicle may be worth anywhere from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousand of dollars or more, you may be willing to invest more than just a few dollars toward achieving substantially better and brighter tail lighting.

Here's what you probably won't see inside a Chinese LED bulb product:

Rather than using as few and inexpensive parts as possible we  use dozens of components to drive High Power LEDs for optimal performance and LED longevity.

If we had to compete price-wise with low priced LED bulb products from China there would be nothing we could do to dramatically improve light intensity.
If an arbitrary and intermediate price point had been targeted the product’s light intensity would eventually have been capped to stay within cost projections.

Our goal was simple: Put as much light as possible safely behind a Porsche 'beehive' taillight lens without being restricted by cost concerns.

The price of these products is reflective of the high cost of the High Power LEDs, the expensive integrated circuitry and support components required to drive the HPLEDs as well as an investment of hundreds of hours of design time and the financial costs incurred for prototyping and testing.

Final assembly is performed to individual customer's LED color, bulb base and grounding specifications.  Please allow us time to carefully assemble, test and ship your taillight order.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

 * For optimum performance we strongly recommend that the color of the LEDs be selected to match the color of the tinted lens they will be placed behind (e.g. red lens, red LEDs.)

 Because LEDs are unidirectional when emitting light, this product is intended to be used in applications where the HPLEDs will directly face traffic behind the vehicle (taillight applications) or face directly toward the traffic ahead of the vehicle (front turn signal/running light applications.)

 The use of this product to replace a turn signaling bulb may require the installation of an electronic turn signal flasher as many OEM flashers from the 6-volt era rely on the high amperage of an incandescent light bulb to establish their flash rate timing.
