Originally designed to provide a cafe bike's tail
with the most clean and minimalist tail light possible, the ASAP (As Small As Possible)
emerged as probably the smallest and most powerfully lit full-featured
LED tail light available. To fulfill its the design goal, the Model ASAP 4x7 provides required white light illumination of the license plate with no
light source above the ASAP unit.

More than just a handful of LEDs, the ASAP uses
patented edge-lit acrylic sheet and sub-miniature surface mount
electronic devices providing a total of five separate voltage regulators, transient
voltage spike suppression, and current limiting for all 54 LEDs onboard the
ASAP. This insures uniform light output, provides brake light circuit redundancy for safety
and helps to insure superior longevity and reliability. |

The ASAP does not use plain acrylic sheet hoping to get some side lighting to fall onto the plate. We
experimented with standard acrylic sheet and the results were
vwry disappointing.
The ASAP uses patented Plexiglas©
ELiT® edge-lit acrylic sheet that has the
inherent ability to diffuse light from sources located along its edge
onto it's surface planes using fine particles encased in the acrylic.
This insert photo gives an indication of the actual brightness and uniformity of the white light cast on the plate.
