It is
very
important to match the LED color to the taillight lens color. Do
not use the USA version Model 356 (featuring all red-color LEDs) behind an amber
& red EURO-style tail
light lens. Similarly, do not use a Euro version Model 356 (with
amber-color brake LEDs) behind an all red tail light lens.

 |
The Model 356
is intended for use with the standard (original) single contact
(BA15S)
bayonet bulb sockets. If your bulb sockets have been converted to dual-filament
(BA15D) sockets we do not recommend using the Model 356 LED tail lamp without
converting your taillight back to BA15S sockets.

 |
Due to the
very low current consumption of the Model 356 LED tail light, your
installation may require
an electronic turn signal flasher to cure an accelerated blinking rate
of the turn-signals*. An
accelerated blink rate may occur because the OEM turn signal flasher
is designed to
alert a driver to what it believes is a burned-out incandescent light bulb
condition as evidenced by
the reduced current consumption. An
electronic turn signal flasher is NOT included with your tail light
purchase.
*Note:
With several units in the field, no user has yet reported the need to convert to
an electronic flasher unit. Empirical data is suggesting that the stock
flasher unit will likely perform correctly.

The Model 356 is available for
6-volt negative ground electrical systems. A 12-volt model is being considered.
Please contact us for 12-volt model information.

With proper
load resistors a 6-volt model can be made to work in a 12-volt system.
